Support the HIBAF team in planning, coordinating and delivering the sixth edition of the Hausa International Book and Arts Festival.

Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Programme and event coordination before and during festival activities
  • Communication and follow-up with speakers, artists, partners and volunteers
  • Preparation of programme materials, schedules, guest information and event briefs
  • General assistance across the festival team
  • On-site logistics: registration, guest support, venue prep and event flow
  • Real-time documentation and social media updates during festival activities
  • Collecting photos, videos and programme records for archiving
  • Audience engagement and guest experience support
  • Post-event reporting, archiving and administrative tasks
  • Other tasks reasonably required for the smooth delivery of HIBAF26

Candidate

Who We're Looking For

  • Interested in arts, culture, literature and festivals
  • Organised, proactive and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communicator with good interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working with diverse people and teams
  • Independent worker who is also a team player
  • Comfortable with basic digital tools and social media
  • Available throughout the internship, including key festival dates

Experience in events, arts administration, communications, media, literature or cultural programming is an advantage — not essential.
